Zoning board approves two variances, rejects multifamily housing

NH GOFFSTOWN — Goffstown Zoning Board approves variances, rejects multifamily proposal. The board approved two property variances and a special exception while a multifamily housing application was withdrawn due to density concerns. Brendan and Amanda Fournier won approval for a basement accessory dwelling unit at 25 Locust Hill Road despite the 1-acre lot requiring 2 acres, voted 5-0-0.
John A. Brown received approval to subdivide his 11.8-acre Mountain Road property and retain existing structures in a wetlands buffer, voted 5-0-0. John R.
Allard won a special exception for a home on a non-conforming lot after the board voted 3-2-0 to require the exception. An application by Andrew Cassidy for multifamily housing on agricultural land was withdrawn after board discussion indicated density concerns.
