Select Board explores library elevator funding options
Select Board · Meeting of June 8, 2026
NH GOFFSTOWN — Goffstown Select Board addresses emergency library elevator replacement. The Board directed Town Administrator Derek Horne to develop funding options for a $37,000 emergency hydraulic power module replacement needed to restore ADA compliance to the Goffstown Public Library, which has been out of service for nearly two weeks, with Library Director Patti Penick noting the library's $50,000 Capital Reserve Fund cannot absorb the full cost. In related action, the Board denied resident Evelyn Trimble's request to upgrade Moose Club Park Road to town-maintained status but authorized residents to maintain the Class 6 portion at their own expense, approved temporary parking for Goffstown Junior Baseball's District 1 Little League Championship July 17-26, and directed the Town Administrator to develop a formal building permit policy for private roads.
