Select Board authorizes cleanup of unauthorized encampment

NH GOFFSTOWN — Select Board authorizes action on unauthorized encampments and adopts water quality standards. Police Chief Eric Sereno presented drone imagery of an expanding encampment at Sarette Field and linked it to thefts and hazardous materials. The Board unanimously directed Sereno to obtain a professional cleanup bid and develop an ordinance addressing unauthorized camping, and unanimously adopted Water Quality Standards effective immediately.

The Board also referred a Namaske Lake Association request for $110,000 to $120,000 in milfoil treatment to the Conservation Commission for recommendations.
