Select Board authorizes CDBG hearings for Medvil Cooperative

Select Board · Meeting of June 22, 2026

NH GOFFSTOWN — Goffstown Select Board authorizes CDBG grant hearings for Medvil Cooperative. The board voted unanimously on June 22 to hold public hearings on or around July 13 for a Community Development Block Grant application seeking $750,000 toward infrastructure replacement at the 301-home, age-55-and-over resident-owned cooperative, which estimates total needs at $11 million. The town would serve as municipal applicant with no net cost.

The board also unanimously awarded a $177,200 contract to Vermont Recreational Surfacing and Fencing for pickleball courts at Roy Park, using $130,000 from the Impact Fee Fund. Fire Chief Benjamin Selleck requested increasing the Fire Department's annual Capital Reserve Fund deposit to $450,000 to support apparatus replacement on an 18-year cycle. ===END BRIEF===
