SELECT BOARD APPROVES BARN EASEMENT AND FIRE EQUIPMENT GRANTS
Select Board · Meeting of April 27, 2026
NH GOFFSTOWN — Goffstown Select Board approves barn easement and fire equipment grants. Town Assessor Scott Bartlett recommended and the Board unanimously approved a Discretionary Preservation Easement under RSA 79-D for a historic barn at 215 Wallace Road, freezing the property assessment at 50 percent of assessed value for ten years. The Fire Department was authorized to apply for up to $522,000 in combined state grants for replacement of the 2005 E-1 fire engine through the New Hampshire Clean Diesel Grant Program (up to $272,000) and Granite State Clean Fleets Program (up to $250,000).
The Board deferred action on a Moose Club Park Road petition to upgrade the Class VI unmaintained section to Class V town-maintained status, directing Town Administrator Derek Horne to seek legal guidance on betterment assessments and maintenance liability waivers.
