Library board unanimously approves $37,000 elevator power unit replacement.

Library Board of Trustees · Meeting of June 3, 2026

NH GOFFSTOWN — Goffstown Library Board approves $37,000 elevator power unit replacement following system failure. The trustees voted unanimously to replace the entire hydraulic power unit rather than just repair the failed valve, noting the 30-year-old system's motor and pump are approaching failure. The replacement will require six to seven weeks of elevator downtime.

Chair Terry Curtis and Vice Chair Jordan Evans were authorized to inform the Select Board of the issue and seek guidance on supplementing the library's $50,000 Capital Reserve Fund with additional town resources. The board voted unanimously to withdraw $18,550 for the required 50 percent manufacturer deposit.
