Historic District Commission eyes restoration push for 250th bicentennial

NH GOFFSTOWN — Goffstown Historic District Commission discusses 250th bicentennial strategy for Grasmere Hall. Chair Phil D'Avanza and the commission discussed leveraging the town's upcoming 250th anniversary to increase awareness and fundraising support for the Grasmere Town Hall restoration project. Town Administrator Derek Horne reported that the qualified preservation plan requires updating and recommended engaging an architect or engineer to redesign the rear addition and develop an alternative elevator-access approach.

The commission discussed updating the town website with donation information and plans to host a table at Old Home Day on June 6 to promote the restoration and sell HDC fundraising merchandise.
