Goffstown Select Board Approves $28.8 Million in First-Half Tax Warrants

NH GOFFSTOWN — Goffstown select board approves $28.8 million in first-half tax warrants. The Board voted 5-0-0 to approve the property tax warrant of $28,789,096.93, the Payment in Lieu of Taxes warrant of $42,000.00, and the betterment assessment warrant for the Lynchville Danis Park drinking water project of $16,124.19, as presented by Town Administrator Derek Horne. The Board also voted 5-0-0 to authorize Parks and Recreation Director Rick Wilhelmi to release a Request for Proposals for pickleball courts at Roy Park with a June 15 bid closing date, with all funding coming from existing revolving funds.
For the Goffstown Main Street Program's special events and downtown projects, the Board voted 5-0-0 to approve flagpole decorations for a scarecrow contest and holiday season, a downtown art display, and a town common brick fundraiser as a concept, while directing department heads to develop alternative safety plans for evening events rather than approving full road closures.
