Goffstown Library Cuts Services Amid Default Budget

Library Board of Trustees · Meeting of March 18, 2026

NH GOFFSTOWN — Goffstown Library Board navigates default-budget pressures with service cuts. Terry Curtis was re-elected chair and Jordan Evans as vice chair, with former board member Kathy Coughlin nominated as an alternate. Facing a $965,061 default budget, the library approved hoopla digital services reductions of $4,100, halted adult audio CD purchases ($900), placed two genealogy database subscriptions under review, and cut the parking lot project from $33,000 to $20,000.

A furnace room code violation remains pending cost estimates for sprinkler installation. The board accepted $1,420 in donations and unanimously reaffirmed leadership and emergency-closure policies.
