Goffstown departments outline capital needs totaling tens of millions

NH GOFFSTOWN — Goffstown CIP committee receives department capital requests totaling tens of millions. The Capital Improvement Committee met July 16 and heard presentations from three departments outlining needs for the 2027-2032 planning period. Parks and Recreation Director Rick Wilhelmi requested $11.765 million in projects including a $10 million recreation center (2032-33) and $635,000 for tennis court renovation.
Police Chief Eric Sereno outlined a $35 million police headquarters building as a long-term planning item and requested $250,000 for locker room expansion. Fire Chief Ben Selleck presented the most extensive capital plan, seeking a $450,000 annual increase to the Fire Apparatus Capital Reserve Fund and major equipment replacements including $2.2 million for tower replacement and $1.5 million for tanker replacement, supported by a $250,000 grant.
