Conservation Commission Endorses Eversource Pole Replacement in Wetland Buffer

NH GOFFSTOWN — Conservation Commission clears Eversource for utility work in wetland buffer. The Goffstown Conservation Commission voted 6-0 to recommend Planning Board approval of Eversource Energy's proposal to replace 14 utility poles on the B143 Electric Transmission Line on Roberts Road within an easement area crossing protected wetland, with temporary impacts estimated at 22,719 square feet, mitigated through timber matting and erosion control measures. Work is scheduled from summer through fall 2026.
The commission also received an update on the state-funded Hadley Falls Dam removal, which has been awarded 4.5 million in grants, with environmental studies in 2026 and removal work to begin in spring 2027.
