Committee approves stop signs on accident-prone Locust Hill Road

Highway Safety Committee · Meeting of March 18, 2026

NH GOFFSTOWN — Goffstown Highway Safety Committee unanimously approves enhanced signage at accident-prone Locust Hill intersection. The committee voted 4-0 to install a second stop sign and stop-ahead warning sign after a police traffic study documented four accidents at the Elm Street intersection from January 2025 through February 2026, including two involving deer, one t-bone accident, and one from distracted driving. Director of Public Works Adam Jacobs noted the second sign can be positioned up to 50 feet uphill from the stop line for improved visibility.

In separate business, the committee voted 4-0 against recommending a convex mirror at West Union Street and Main Street.
