CIP committee hears departments' capital needs

NH GOFFSTOWN — Goffstown capital committee considers multiple-million-dollar capital projects from town departments for planning cycle. Library Board Chair Theresa Curtis presented requests for $30,000 in third-floor HVAC renovation and $90,000 for exterior masonry work deferred to 2029. Sewer Superintendent Corey White described a new $300,000 pump station upgrade and critical infrastructure needs in the Flats neighborhood, where 1940s-era pipe required emergency repair this year.
Department of Public Works Director Adam Jacobs proposed shifting vehicle procurement from purchases to rental-lease contracts and requested $2.06 million in annual road maintenance for the town's 260-lane-mile network.
