After the 2026 operating budget failed by approximately 700 votes, the Select Board and Budget Committee discussed misinformation, communication gaps, and public trust issues in a joint session. Chairman Jim Craig and Budget Committee Chair Elizabeth Dubrulle emphasized the need for unified public messaging and better resident engagement.
